Terms and Conditions

Booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed once the required payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Cheshire Homestays.

The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and accepts responsibility for all members of the party.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.

The remaining balance must be paid six weeks before your arrival date.

Bookings made within six weeks of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

Payments are accepted by bank transfer.

 All payments must be received by the due dates stated to secure and maintain your booking. 

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of £300 is payable two weeks before arrival.

The deposit will normally be returned within seven days of departure, provided:

  • the property has been left in a satisfactory condition; 
  • no damage has occurred beyond normal wear and tear; 
  • no additional cleaning or replacement costs have been incurred; 
  • the terms of the booking have been observed. 

Should any deductions be necessary, these will be discussed with you and supported where appropriate.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify Cheshire Homestays in writing as soon as possible. Your cancellation will take effect from the date we receive your written notification.

  • 30 days or more before arrival – Full refund. 
  • 14–30 days before arrival – 50% refund. 
  • Less than 14 days before arrival – No refund. 

If we are able to re-let your cancelled dates, we will always do our best to minimise any loss wherever reasonably possible.

Changes to your booking

If you wish to amend your booking, please contact Cheshire Homestays in writing as soon as possible. Any request to amend your booking is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Additional charges may apply if dates are changed..

Arrival/Departure

Check-in is available from 3.00 pm.

Check-out is by 10.00 am on the day of departure.

Occupancy

Only the guests named on the booking may occupy the property unless agreed in advance.

The maximum occupancy stated on the individual property listing must not be exceeded.

Dogs

Where a property accepts dogs, this will be stated on the individual property listing.

Dogs must not be left unattended at the property and should remain off beds and furniture unless otherwise stated.

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their dog during their stay.

House Rules

Our properties are intended as peaceful places to relax and unwind.

We kindly ask guests to:

  • respect neighbouring properties; 
  • keep outdoor noise to a minimum after 10.00 pm; 
  • not hold parties or events; 
  • refrain from smoking or vaping inside the property; 
  • leave the property in a clean and tidy condition; 
  • report any accidental damage promptly.

Hot Tub

Where a property includes a hot tub, guests use it entirely at their own risk.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Please follow any operating instructions provided at the property.

Beauty Treatments

Where beauty treatments or additional services are arranged through Cheshire Homestays, these form a separate agreement between the guest and the independent provider.

Cheshire Homestays cannot accept responsibility for services provided by third parties.

Damage

Please notify us as soon as possible if anything is accidentally damaged during your stay.

We understand accidents happen and greatly appreciate being informed promptly..

Liability

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care of themselves, their belongings and anyone staying with them during their visit.

Cheshire Homestays cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury except where caused by our negligence.

Circumstances beyond our control

In the unlikely event that your booking cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flooding or other unforeseen events, we will always work with you to find the most appropriate solution. . 

Privacy

Any personal information provided during the booking process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and used only for managing your booking and communicating with you. 

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from a booking shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
